I’m a Weight Watchers dropout, having been in and out of that program since 2003. I’ve always been a pretty active person as I workout about 5-6 days a week. But my weight, no matter how much I “counted” the points, logged my food, or exercised, remained the same. I was ready to give up on the whole “diet” part of my life, ready to resign myself to believing that this is as good as I’m ever going to get. Then I found Paul and his SuperHuman Transformation (SHT) program, thankfully by being at the right place at the right time, which for me was and remains to be, a member of Crossfit Combine.
I am beyond thrilled with the changes that have occurred since going through SHT in conjunction with my crossfit regime. I honestly get emotional thinking about it and knowing what I know now…if only I had known it earlier. This program has been a total game changer for me and my overall health. And the best part is, it’s not just about diet. Don’t get me wrong, losing 10 pounds, getting leaner, stronger and everyone around me noticing is indeed uplifting. But for me, it’s so much more than just losing weight. This program is genius such that it integrates emotional and spiritual health through daily meditation, gratitude, positive affirmations, and encourages journaling life in general. There’s no doubt that life has its set of challenges and stressors, but it’s about how we manage it that directly affects our health. Since starting SHT, I have been able to handle my own set of stressors a lot better than before. Instead of reacting, I find myself stopping to take a breath and a step back. Then I open myself up to understanding others around me rather than assuming the worst. Although I know that I’m personally a work in progress (as we all are on this journey), I’ve become more enlightened and self-aware.
The other remarkable part of this program is the community itself. The SHT community offers love, encouragement, fun and positive energy, all of which is contagious. Recipes, food ideas and shopping tips are all shared on Facebook. A part from the periodic educational meetings during the 10-week program, hikes, yoga, meditation sessions and restaurant outings are all apart of the program and Paul is the humble leader and host of all these fabulous events. Being a part of the SHT community is absolutely amazing. It’s definitely better than any weekly weigh-in Weight Watchers meeting I ever attended, that’s for sure. That’s the other, probably best part of this 10-week program: no scales. You weigh in and get measurements twice: at the beginning of the program and the very end. SHT goes beyond the scale, which is beautiful.
This program is so much more than I could have ever expected and worth it for overall optimal clean health. I have adopted this, not just as a 10-week “program” to go through, but as a lifestyle. But just because the 10-week program is over doesn’t mean that the support and/or progression ends, at least not for me. Through constant contact with the SHT community and Paul, I personally know that I’m in it for the long term. This was the best life light that I could switch on for myself. It a gift from me to me and I would absolutely give this as a gift to someone I love, for sure.
